Welcome to RBfoods. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our Shopify store and the purchase of our fresh meal prep products. By placing an order with RBfoods, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. General Conditions & Service Overview

RBfoods provides fresh, pre-packaged meals delivered directly to residential addresses and corporate offices across designated delivery zones in Gauteng. We reserve the right to refuse service, modify menu offerings, or adjust delivery boundaries at any time.

2. Food Safety, Storage & Customer Responsibility

  • Chilled Delivery: Our meals are prepared fresh and delivered in temperature-controlled packaging.
  • Immediate Refrigeration Required: Upon delivery (either directly to you, your estate security, or your office reception), it is your sole responsibility to immediately place the meals into a working refrigerator maintained at 4°C or below.
  • Proper Handling: Meals must be consumed within the recommended shelf-life indicated on the packaging (typically 3–4 days from delivery) and reheated thoroughly according to instructions.

3. Limitation of Liability & Health Disclaimer

  • Post-Delivery Perishability: RBfoods is strictly not responsible or liable for any food spoilage, bacterial growth, or contamination that occurs after the delivery has been successfully dropped off at your specified location due to improper storage, power outages, leaving meals unrefrigerated, or failure to collect meals promptly from security gates or reception desks.
  • Health & Illness Disclaimer: All meals are prepared following strict hygiene and food safety standards. However, RBfoods, its owners, and employees shall not be held liable for any illness, foodborne disease, allergic reactions, or medical conditions resulting from the consumption of our products once delivered, including cases where meals were handled or stored incorrectly after handover.
  • Allergens: Our meals are prepared in a kitchen that handles nuts, dairy, gluten, soy, eggs, and other potential allergens. While we take cross-contamination precautions, we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen-free environment. You consume our products at your own risk.

4. Orders, Cut-Off Times & Cancellations

  • Order Cut-Offs: Orders and menu selections must be placed before our specified weekly cut-off times to secure your delivery drop.
  • Failed Deliveries: If our driver is unable to complete a delivery due to incorrect contact details, lack of access codes, or refusal of entry by security/reception, the order will be returned to our prep facility. Because fresh meals cannot be resold, failed deliveries will not be refunded or re-delivered without an additional delivery fee.

5. Payment & Pricing

All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include applicable taxes. Payments are processed securely via third-party South African gateways (PayFast, Yoco, Ozow, Peach Payments). Orders will only be prepped and dispatched once full payment has been confirmed.

6. Changes to Terms of Service

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. The updated version will be posted on our website with a revised "Last Updated" date.
